What indeed!  Most women experience The Change individually, each with their own share of multiple symptoms.  One woman told me the only way she knew she had gone through The Change was that she stopped menstruating; she had no symptoms.  She is the only woman I’ve met like that, though I’m sure there must be others.  For me I had nearly every symptom in the book.

It was in my late 30’s when I realized something felt very different going on in my life.  I suddenly craved sweets for the first time and ate nearly a pint of frozen yogurt nightly, thinking I couldn’t gain weight from it.  Was never able to gain weight, had always been a skinny rail, but in three months gained 20 pounds.  Coca Cola commercials would make me sentimental and I would break down in tears.  Then there were headaches, muscle aches, irritability for no apparent reason, then guilt for being irritable, then paranoia, then weepy, a/k/a an emotional roller coaster.

On going to my gynecologist to ask for hormone testing, he said I was too young to begin the change.  He knew me for years as prim and proper.  But when I forcefully grabbed his arm, shouting: “Don’t tell me that!” – stunned, he realized the face of the beginning Change, and agreed to do testing.

That weekend I went to the nearest Barnes & Noble.  Found the section on Perimenopause and Menopause.  Grabbed as many books as I could carry, and in a corner of the floor spent the day reading.  Reading many correlations with what I was experiencing, after several hours, I left armed with books, and determined to get out from behind the eight ball.

Welcome to my blogsite.  From this day forward, this will be a support system, a community with resources, references, information, humor, sharing, and uplifting energy.  We, as women, share this in large numbers.  You are not alone.

Here are some resources to arm yourself, and a good place to start.

I decided to call my magazine about the phases of menopause The Change Explained – deliberately leaving out the word ‘menopause’. The word menopause has been introduced by the medical profession so that they can ‘diagnose’ it, and once a diagnosis has been given a name then they can medicate it, which is all part of Big Pharmas plan to make lots of money out of the baby boomers etc etc etc. They cannot diagnose ‘the change’ and therefore cannot medicate. So glad you are referring to this completely natural phase of our lives as the change 😀

Thank you Alison! Great to hear what you are saying. There has not been enough support out there for the millions of women, and the people who love them, experiencing The Change, with a multitude of varied experiences. It’s time to rally for these women and support them. Wish I had more support at that junction. Though I did have a healer-therapist assist me, it only covered a portion of the support I could have used. Look forward to your magazine, love the title. Any forecast for its debut? All my best, Corri @ corricoaching.com

is there any other web site which gives these data in quality?

    • Corri Coaching Says:

Hi Abel, Appreciate your support. I have bits and pieces, not articles, on my Facebook page to support people on a regular basis. My Facebook page is ~ Corri Coaching ~ feel free to like it. More articles will be coming to this blogsite. In addition, I am writing a monthly article on topic for a new online magazine launching in the U.S. and U.K. at the end of this month. http://www.thechangeexplained.com The person launching the magazine will have articles by various experts on topic, and has accrued a list of 70 people for such.
While I have a long list of articles I intend to write about, other things have consumed my time from producing these articles out rapidly. Please let me know if there are any article topics in particular you would like to see. Perhaps I can go to those topics first.
Thanks for writing. – Best, Corri at Corri Coaching

Abel, Went to your site and tried to write a note to you. Your Captsa Code function is not working and it reads each response as incorrect.
Your capsicum product looks good and appears to do something similar to green tea, which I used for a few years to keep slim and keep a high metabolism.
All the best to you with what you are doing. Blessings, Corri @ Corri Coaching
